Mares R&D collaborated on the design, adjusting the angle of the glass and construction of the nose on the skirt to decrease the mask's volume. This ensures that the Star mask incorporates the best solutions available on the market along with LiquidSkin technology.

LiquidSkin technology is a bi-silicone exclusive technology that utilizes two different types of silicone. A firmer portion provides support structure, while a softer portion contacts the face, offering unparalleled comfort that is 45% softer on the skin. The technology also provides 270% greater elasticity for a perfect fit. By attaching the buckles to the skirt, the mask achieves superior hydrodynamics as the strap fits closely to the head. This design choice also ensures that the tension from the strap is exerted on the skirt rather than directly on the frame, reducing pressure against the face.

The ergonomic buckles on the Star mask feature an innovative design for fast and easy adjustment of the split strap. These sturdy yet compact buckles are optimized for the advantage of the skirt-mounted buckle system. The mask's low volume and lightweight design includes a skirt with a double feathered edge for a secure seal, an easy-to-squeeze nose well for one-handed equalization, a tempered glass lens, and quick-adjusting buckles. Three models are available in clear and one in all-black silicone.
